Our core business is private equity in developing markets. We are a committed partner to enterprising companies which are tapping into the positive underlying dynamics of the countries in which they operate.
We look for strong management teams running excellent companies who require capital to grow and who are keen to diversify their investor base.

Frontier-Invest was established in 2010 and has a client list which ranges from blue-chip companies to start-up businesses.

We focus on development capital for growing companies. Our business is predominantly Africa based and we have a preference for companies in consumer related sectors, including renewable energy.

Our projects typically involve an operating company with a track record, compelling growth opportunities and an experienced, aligned management team requiring a significant investment to expand their business.
We build strong, long-term relationships with owner/manager teams, employing a hands-on approach designed to help them to transform and grow their companies.

JONATHAN HARRISON
Jonathan is an emerging and frontier market specialist with over 25 years experience in the institutional investment sector, managing global and regional emerging market equity funds. He has also worked on the sell-side as an award-winning Head of Research covering African equity markets and has provided consultancy services to several financial services companies in Lagos, Nigeria.
Jonathan worked at Ivory & Sime, Cazenove and UBA Capital (previously Afrinvest) prior to founding Frontier-Invest Ltd in 2010. He is a graduate of Edinburgh University with a Masters degree in Business and French.

STUART HARLEY
With a distinguished career in emerging markets stockbroking and corporate management, Stuart has a deep understanding of investment and the ongoing process of managing businesses in demanding environments. Prior to joining Frontier-Invest, he was Director for Emerging Europe at Schroders, Head of Emerging Market Equity Sales and thereafter MD/Country Head for Russia & the CIS at Citigroup (where he established and ran their Moscow office). Latterly he was Deputy CEO at EFG Eurobank in Athens. He is currently a senior advisor to Tellimer.
Stuart has a BCom (hons) degree from Edinburgh University.
MO AWOMOLO
Mo has assisted Frontier-Invest over a number of years, sourcing investment opportunities and helping to manage relationships in West Africa.

Mo has extensive experience of facilitating deals in the region and has worked for UBS, Citibank and S&P. She has a BSc in Economics from University College London and an MSc in Accounting & Finance from LSE.

AAIP
In 2015 we established an operating partnership with African Alpha Investment Partners (AAIP). The two companies retain their separate identities but we have pooled our resources and established a joint head office which gives us broader scope and capacity to manage existing projects as well as identify exciting new projects, structure them and introduce appropriate co-investors.
​
AAIP is involved in principal investing, advisory work - including origination, structuring and distribution - and arranging financing for clients in Africa. The company was founded by Brad Koen and Rupert Boyd.
